Daniel Clark

Director of Business Development, New York City Economic Development Corporation

Daniel Clark serves as VP & Director of Business Development at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, where he oversees business attraction, retention, and expansion for the City of New York. He has worked with hundreds of companies to relocate or expand to NYC, with the mission of creating good paying jobs for New Yorkers and helping NYC’s innovation economy grow.

Dan also has a background in community development including former roles as the Executive Director of the Staten Island Business Outreach Center and the Forest Avenue Business Improvement District. Prior to this he led the formation of 2 Business Improvement Districts in Staten Island while working at the Staten Island EDC.

Concurrently, Dan continues to serve as a Captain in the US Army Reserves, focusing on Army innovation. He previously served as an Infantry Company Commander, amongst other roles, deploying overseas in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Dan received his Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University and his Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy & Geography from Syracuse University.

A NYC native, Dan lives in Brooklyn, NY and is an avid believer in the power of cities to transform society.
